Globequest Vacation Club is proud to assist travelers while planning their upcoming holiday celebrations, and sometimes there is no better way to enjoy the season than trying out a trip in a new place. The city of Cabo San Lucas is a great place to celebrate, and here are a few ideas and events that travelers should consider attending.
During the month of December there is quite a lot to see and do, and one place travelers will want to stop by is the Puerto Paraiso Plaza (located at the Cabo San Lucas marina) where travelers can get the chance to see the giant lighted tree found here. There is also a unique nativity scene located at one of the most famous landmarks in the area, the Santuario de Guadalupe Catholic Church. The tradition is to leave the manger empty until Christmas Day, and that’s when they put Baby Jesus in his cradle. Be sure to bring along a camera in order to pose for vacation photos at either of these scenes, since they are something no one will want to forget.
Globequest Vacation Club says one of the best parts about celebrating the holidays in Cabo San Lucas is the many posadas that are going on. For those who don’t know, Posadas take place from the 16th of December up until Christmas Eve, and they are processionals that are dedicated to remembering Joseph and Mary’s journey to Bethlehem. After the walk, many gather to eat delicious meals as well as sip on wine, just enjoying the spirit of the season, which is abundant in Cabo San Lucas.
